What We Believe
We believe in God the Father, who raised His Son, Jesus, from the dead that first Easter, and also in the God the Holy Spirit, who guides our spirits in our daily lives through prayer and reading the Bible. We believe that the Bible is the true and accurate source of knowledge about God and how to live a spiritually rewarding life.

OUR STORY
FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH began IN 1913 AS A MISSION OUTPOST OF THE HOME MISSION BOARD OF THE CONVENTION OF ONTARIO AND QUEBEC.
IN 1916, A GREAT FIRE SWEPT THROUGH COCHRANE, BUT THE CHURCH AND PARSONAGE WERE ONE OF THE FEW BUILDINGS THAT REMAINED. THIS MAKES FIRST BAPTIST THE OLDEST CHURCH IN THE TOWN.
OUR MISSION IS TO LEAD PEOPLE TO FAITH IN GOD AND TO WALK TOGETHER IN WHAT THAT MEANS.
